FAQs

How do my Ice Ice Booby® breast ice packs help soothe my tender breasts?

As your breast ice packs will be nice and cold, applying them to your boobies will help reduce pain and inflammation associated with milk production and breastfeeding. Our remedial heat and ice packs can also be used to help manage mastitis, blocked ducts and breast engorgement. Cold therapy should be used AFTER breastfeeding and/or expressing.

By warming our gel bead breast packs, they can help assist in relieving blocked ducts and help encourage milk flow and the let-down reflex. This will help minimise the time spend breastfeeding and expressing. Heat therapy also aids with general pain and tenderness and should be used PRIOR to feeding and/or expressing.

All the instructions are also printed on the packaging, as well as our online instruction page.

Do the Ice Ice Booby® breast and perineal ice packs double as heat packs?

Yes. Our breast and perineal ice packs can both be used as heat packs, as well as ice packs.  To use as cold packs, cool in your freezer. To use as warm packs, you can heat in your microwave or warm in hot water. DO NOT overheat your breast and perineal ice and heat packs. We recommend initially heating each pack for no longer than 10 seconds in the microwave, and if not warm enough, heat each pack for an additional 5 seconds, until warm. Do not heat each pack for over 25 seconds in total. For hygiene reasons we recommend washing your breast and perineal ice and heat packs after each use in warm soapy water followed by a rinse with cold water and store in a plastic container to ensure quality and integrity.

Do the Ice Ice Booby® breast packs come with covers?

Yes. Our breast packs come with fabric protective covers to protect the skin. We recommend using a tissue or a maternity pad for our perineal packs for optimal hygiene and to protect the skin. For hygiene reasons we recommend washing your breast and perineal ice and heat packs after each use in warm soapy water followed by a rinse with cold water. To ensure quality and integrity of our packs store in a plastic container in-between uses.

Why are some of the breast pack gels beads uneven on arrival in mail?

Before sending off each pack in the mail, we carefully inspect each item, and squeeze the gel beads throughout the breast packs as evenly as possible. During your packs journey to you, the gel beads may spread a little unevenly. However, prior to heating/cooling your packs, you can squeeze your breast packs to evenly spread the gel beads throughout.

How long after I place my order can I expect it to arrive in the mail?

We endeavour to process and post your order in the mail within 1-2 business days of you placing your order. We currently ship with Sendle and Australia Post, using their registered mail service. Once your order is lodged, it usually takes between 2-10 business days to arrive at your door. However, if you need your breast and perineal ice and heat packs sooner rather than later, there is an option at the checkout to select Express Post (Australia Post), which will be delivered the next business day once posted.

You will receive a confirmation email once your item has been packed and shipped with a tracking number, where you can track your item through the Sendle or Australia Post website. Should you not receive this email, please check your junk emails.

Do you offer postage discounts on multiple items purchased?

Yes! We offer free shipping on all orders over $99.

What are your Ice Ice Booby heat and ice packs made out of?

What is your Silicone Booby Pump made out of?

Our Ice Ice Booby Pump is made out of 100% food grade silicone. The Silicone Booby Pump is BPA free.

Is it normal for the gel beads to break down?

Yes, it is perfectly normal for the gel beads to break down over time due to their composition. For this reason we recommend purchasing new packs with each baby.

How do I know when it is time to dispose of my Ice Ice Booby® packs?

You should discard your packs any time they are punctured, pierced or leaking. Please dispose of in the household rubbish and not down the drain. Due to the nature of the products we recommend purchasing new packs in between babies due to hygiene reasons.
